Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy Are Married! See Her Marriage ceremony Clothes by Calvin Klein and Harris Reed

Giulia Be and Conor Kennedy are married! This weekend, the Brazilian singer-songwriter tied the knot with the Kennedy scion in a multi-day ceremony in Rio de Janeiro. On Friday, the couple headed up to Christ the Redeemer for a blessing, before holding their religious wedding today, October 10, in a ceremony at a historic church in the heart of the city. To finish the celebrations, they hosted a reception at a historic mansion in the Jardim Botânico.
And a few weeks before the wedding weekend, Giulia invited Vogue to her final fittings—first, at the Calvin Klein atelier in New York to try on her dress for the blessing. Unsurprisingly, she can hardly contain her excitement. “This has been such a journey,” she says, laughing. “It’s so beautiful, and I’m so excited for you all to see it!”
Not only was she about to see the finished dress she would wear to marry Conor, an associate attorney based in Los Angeles and the son of the late Mary Richardson Kennedy and Robert F.
Kennedy Jr., but it was designed by the fashion house where Carolyn Bessette Kennedy once worked—and whose sleek aesthetic she helped make iconic. Giulia and Conor’s own love story started virtually, when his sister Kyra connected them. For six months, they exchanged WhatsApp messages while Giulia was in Brazil filming the Netflix movie Beyond the Universe. The two finally met in person and began dating in 2022, later making their red-carpet debut at a Grammy Awards brunch.

In August 2024, Conor proposed at their Los Angeles home in a room filled with candles arranged in the shape of a heart, presenting Giulia with a Tiffany & Co. engagement ring. The couple legally married in March 2026 during an intimate ceremony at Conor’s family home in Los Angeles, followed by a family lunch—and then dove headfirst into preparations for their celebrations in Brazil this weekend.
But first, there was the dress. While in New York for Fashion Week, Giulia stepped into the Calvin Klein atelier to discover a rack holding her wedding dress alongside her looks for the brand’s runway show. Of course, she headed straight for her wedding dress. The design is a study in ’90s minimalism: a sleek white slip with an open back, sheer opera-length gloves, and a silk shawl for dramatic draping around the neck.
While the look nods to Carolyn Bessette Kennedy with its restrained elegance, the final product is decidedly Giulia’s own. As the Calvin Klein team helps the bride-to-be into the dress, Giulia can hardly contain herself. “I can’t even breathe right now,” she laughs. “It’s so beautiful!” Then, her future sister-in-law Kyra Kennedy arrives. “I’m scared to touch you!” Kyra exclaims upon seeing the bride.
You look insane! By this point, Giulia
“You look insane!” By this point, Giulia is trying to hold back tears. “I can’t even clean my own tears,” she jokes. “I don’t want to get my gloves dirty.” Taking another look at herself in the mirror, she adds: “Guys, it’s stunning—it’s so ’90s!”
With the final fitting complete, there’s just one small logistical detail to iron out: getting the dress safely to Brazil.
Giulia plans to hand-carry it with her on the plane, rather than ship it. “They said British Airways is pretty good about wedding dresses,” she explains. “If you tell them, ‘I have my wedding dress with me. They’ll be like, ‘Oh my god!’”
Before leaving the atelier, Giulia takes one last moment to admire the finished look. “I’m so obsessed with it. It’s the perfect dress, and it fits so perfectly,” she says.
“Thank you to all of the Calvin team, and to everyone who made this happen. It’s a dream come true.”
The following week, Giulia is in central London for her final wedding dress fitting with Harris Reed. Before heading to the Mandarin Oriental, she and a friend stop to put together a bouquet for the photos. Flowers in hand, they make their way to the hotel. “Now it’s time to go on and finally see the dress,” Giulia says.

“I’m so excited!”
Upstairs in the penthouse suite, Harris Reed, known for his theatrical designs that blend Victorian influences with 1970s glam rock, is waiting. The dress, however, is proving difficult to contain—even in the penthouse suite. “Of course the dress is so big that it doesn’t even fit in the penthouse,” Giulia laughs. “It really doesn’t. It’s really drama—drama-rama!” Harris adds.
For the designer, the collaboration was an opportunity to push the boundaries of his signature aesthetic. “You had all of these amazing references, and what I really loved was that Giulia respected the brand,” he explains. “You were really into the neckline and having this couture swoop that we’ve become known for doing, and then you pushed us to our limits with the drama and elegance and the craftsmanship.”
The end result is three looks in one.
There’s an extraordinarily long veil, a dramatic bohemian cape jacket with lace bell sleeves, and Harris’s interpretation of a sweetheart neckline, reimagined in liquid silk. “Conor loves it whenever I wear lace,” Giulia says, with a smile. “I’ll leave it at that! He for sure is going to be very excited. I’ve also never seen him cry and we’ve been together for almost five years, so I think my only chance is the element of surprise.
If he doesn’t cry, I’m going to be
If he doesn’t cry, I’m going to be like, ‘We’re doing this again! Let’s restart the wedding march.’”
The collaboration with Harris began with a DM on Instagram. “I was getting on a plane, and you texted me on Instagram and were like, ‘Let’s do my wedding,’ and I was like, ‘Let’s do it,’” Harris recalls. From there, the two began discussing everything from fabrics and silhouettes to how Giulia wanted to feel on her wedding day.
“It’s just having a very organic, real conversation, which sounds really basic but no one does that anymore.”
Once the cape jacket has been removed, Giulia FaceTimes her mother to show her the dress. The call includes with plenty of “oohs” and “aahs.” “We’re going to kill it,” she says. “They’re going to be like ‘Wow! Stunning, stunning, stunning!’”
Ultimately, Giulia wasn’t interested in playing it safe.
“I wanted drama,” she says. “At the end of the day, of course, I am classic in a lot of ways, but there’s also a side of me that’s very maximalist. That loves a moment, and that loves drama.”
“I love it. It’s like me in a dress,” she continues. “There are so many aspects of it that are more traditional, and then there are aspects of it that are a little like I’m a fairy, and I’m magical, and that’s what I wanted…my Star Wars wedding moment.”
As the fitting draws to a close, Harris presents Giulia with a sketch and a swatch of lace.
“You know I’m going to frame this, right?” she says, before Harris notes: “Next time you’re seeing that dress, it’s going down the aisle!”
With that, Giulia pops the champagne they’ve been saving for the occasion and teaches Harris how to toast in Portuguese: “Saúde!”
